Getting Used to a New World

"All Summer In a Day" By Ray Bradbury talks about a community in the planet Venus. The rain is something that for them, the citizens, is common in there daily life, The children from the school haven't seen the sun since they were born, except from Margot, a girl who was born in the planet Earth and has seen the sun before.
But after seven years now she will finally will see the sun again but this time she will see it from Venus. The day comes along and the sun didn't came out. The only thing Margot talk and think was the sun and how it was it. Everyone from her class disturb her because she was the only person in the class to see the sun before. William of her classmates decided to lock her in a closet and so they he did. After some time the sun came out and they completely forget about Margot. They have one hour until the sun goes off. But when they're time was off they remembered about Margot.

"But they were running and turning their faces up to the sky and feeling the sun on their cheeks like a warm iron"

Ray Bradbury uses imagery to make the reader feel like they are inside of the story and to attract more to the reader.

'' And this was because she would play no games with them in the echoing tunnels of the underground city."

Ray Bradbury also uses indirect characterization to make reader understand better how a character is or how a setting looks like. In this example we can that he uses characterization to show that Margot is very shy with his classmates.

This story is very good and show us that we don't need to disrespect people just because they come from another place and look different than you, we always need to treat people the way they treat us.

New Significance of Release

The book of the The Giver is becoming more and more interesting to read. Jonas father is gonna release the twin who weights less. Jonas is becoming more curious about what is release and what happened with the previous receiver. And when he asked The Giver the story started. It was about a female named Rosemary, in her first days of training the giver gave her the same memories as Jonas but the giver didn't gave her physical pain he gave the memories of loss and loneliness. After those memories, Rosemary wanted more and the giver didn't show anything physically but he share the memories of poverty, terror and hunger. One day Rosemary didn't went to the annex room and she didn't present in her dwelling, She wented to the Chief Elder and requested for a release and when Rosemary were released all the memories came back to the citizens. Jonas kept being curious about what was a release and he asked The Giver if he could see the video tape of the release of the twin. But after he saw the video Jonas didn't want to go back home because know he knew that his father killed baby's.
"I was notified by the Speaker that she had gone directly to the Chief Elder and asked to be released."

This quote made me write an analysis note, I think that the author is trying to say is that sometimes painful memories aren't the best because it you can enter in depression like Rosemary and that is way I think citizens don't have memories.
