Getting Used to a New World

"All Summer In a Day" By Ray Bradbury talks about a community in the planet Venus. The rain is something that for them, the citizens, is common in there daily life, The children from the school haven't seen the sun since they were born, except from Margot, a girl who was born in the planet Earth and has seen the sun before.
But after seven years now she will finally will see the sun again but this time she will see it from Venus. The day comes along and the sun didn't came out. The only thing Margot talk and think was the sun and how it was it. Everyone from her class disturb her because she was the only person in the class to see the sun before. William of her classmates decided to lock her in a closet and so they he did. After some time the sun came out and they completely forget about Margot. They have one hour until the sun goes off. But when they're time was off they remembered about Margot.

"But they were running and turning their faces up to the sky and feeling the sun on their cheeks like a warm iron"

Ray Bradbury uses imagery to make the reader feel like they are inside of the story and to attract more to the reader.

'' And this was because she would play no games with them in the echoing tunnels of the underground city."

Ray Bradbury also uses indirect characterization to make reader understand better how a character is or how a setting looks like. In this example we can that he uses characterization to show that Margot is very shy with his classmates.

This story is very good and show us that we don't need to disrespect people just because they come from another place and look different than you, we always need to treat people the way they treat us.

New Significance of Release

The book of the The Giver is becoming more and more interesting to read. Jonas father is gonna release the twin who weights less. Jonas is becoming more curious about what is release and what happened with the previous receiver. And when he asked The Giver the story started. It was about a female named Rosemary, in her first days of training the giver gave her the same memories as Jonas but the giver didn't gave her physical pain he gave the memories of loss and loneliness. After those memories, Rosemary wanted more and the giver didn't show anything physically but he share the memories of poverty, terror and hunger. One day Rosemary didn't went to the annex room and she didn't present in her dwelling, She wented to the Chief Elder and requested for a release and when Rosemary were released all the memories came back to the citizens. Jonas kept being curious about what was a release and he asked The Giver if he could see the video tape of the release of the twin. But after he saw the video Jonas didn't want to go back home because know he knew that his father killed baby's.
"I was notified by the Speaker that she had gone directly to the Chief Elder and asked to be released."

This quote made me write an analysis note, I think that the author is trying to say is that sometimes painful memories aren't the best because it you can enter in depression like Rosemary and that is way I think citizens don't have memories.

The Giver, Sleeping with Gabriel and Experiencing New Memories

The Giver chapters 13 through 16 are becoming every time more exiting. Jonas has decided to sleep with baby Gabe. He made this decision because Gabriel was to noisy and his parents couldn't sleep. The first night was good until baby Gabe start to cry. Jonas put his hands of his back to share a memory with him. The memory Jonas shared was about a sailor. After he shared it with baby Gabe he stopped crying. The Giver shares a new memory with Jonas, this memory is about warfare. After experiencing that memory Jonas felted pain and the only thing he could listen was people and animals dyeing. The giver apologized with Jonas for giving that memory. The next day Jonas felted bad, he didn't wanted for his job, he didn't wanted more memories, all we wanted was to be back with Asher and Fiona at the recreation center."

"I didn't. I used my wisdom, from my memories. I knew that there had been times in the past-- terrible times-- when people had destroyed others in haste, in fear, and had brought about their own destruction"(Lowry 112). This quote made me write an analysis note, it made me release that for the society and for all citizens is important to have memories because it let you recognize what is good and what is bad. Also the quote "Take some pain"(Lowry 118). This also made me do an analysis note, I think that is important to always have a bit of pain to know have you have done and want you should not do.

I think that for the next chapters Jonas is gonna realize how different is his society different from his memories, and be in disagreement with the society rules. Also I think that Jonas is gonna be tired of being the receiver of memories and of his society and he is gonna go to another community.

The Giver; Jonas First Training Day

Jonas first day of training has satrted and he needed to go to the Annex room. On his way Jonas encounters with his friend Fiona who has going to the House of the Old to start their new assigment. Both of them were proud of each other assigments. When Jonas finaly arrives to the annex room he sees the door locked and that made him very rare because no door in the society was locked but he find a ring and touch. After a moment a voice appears and oppens the doors to Jonas. When Jonas entered he saw an attendent and she told him to entered the room. Jonas entered and saw the receiver of memeries, he started to talk about what this job consisted, and that he will receive the memomeries of the whole world. The receiver of memories started sharing one of his memomeries with Jonas, that memory was snow, he sat Jonas on a bed and put his hand on his back and then Jonas started to feel what was snow and he like it. The he share the sunburn and in that time Jonas felted pain.

When the receiver told Jonas about the snow and Jonas didnt know what was that it made me a question, why they dont have snow in the communitty, how the prevent it if it is natural. Also Jonas make his first lie on the dream ritual and I think that he is continuing lieing and maybe that is going to cause problem and he is going to have the respect of others.

I predict that Jonas is going to continously lie and many people are going to be mad at him, also I think that the receiver of memery is going to share many more memories with Jonas but lots of them are going to be painful

The Giver, Jonas New Assigment

The ceremonies are coming very close, at first the naming and giving of the Ones. Jonas friend, Fiona received a new brother called Bruno. The ceremonies continued Lilly was very exited to receive her new jacket and the Nine were happy about there new bikes. "But invariably the grinning Nines, who technical violation of the rule had been practicing secretly for weeks." Finally the ceremonie of twelve has come and evereyone was nervious about it. Everyone had a number that they remembered since they were kids. Jonas had the number nineteen and he was after Fiona who had the number eighteen. Fiona was chosen for the assigment of Caretaker of the Old, when it was time for Jonas the Chief Elder continued to twenty without going through nineteen, that moment Jonas was confusied. But after the ceremonie ended , the Chied Elder relieve that Jonas was the selected to be the Receiver of Memories that was the most important job of all the community.

While reading this chapters I think about the theme individuality on the page 46" Females lost their braids at ten, and males, too."Males and females should cut their braids at the age they want, they shouldn't have a rule to cut their hairs. Also in page 62 when the Chief Elder says "The training requiredof you involves pain. Physical pain" I made a queston, why does he need to have pain, does this assigment is dangerous.

I think Jonas is going to be very good at his new assigment but I also thinks he is going to do something that changes his entire
 community .

The Giver First Chapters Review

The giver has been very interesting during all this chapters. Jonas has being very nervous because the ceremonies of twelve is coming fast. He has the thought that he is not going to like his new assignment. Before he has the ceremonies of twelve he need to focus on completing his volunteer hours in the house of the old with his friends Fiona and Asher. Jonas sister Lilly also will be a nine and will receive their first bike, but Jonas before already teach her to ride bike but that was against the rule but everyone broke it.
In the recreation center Jonas found an apple and take it home to examine it but later he heard the speaker"THIS IS A REMINDER TO MALE ELEVENS THAT OBJECTS ARE NOT TO BE REMOVED FROM THE RECREATION AREA AND THAT SNACKS ARE TO BE EATEN, NOT HOARDED" Jonas knew that this was and indirect for him.

When the attendent from the House of the Old says "We celebrated a realease this morning, and that always throws the schedule off a little, so things get backed" it made ask a question, does the release are a good thing or not, where do people go after a release? Also when Jonas starts talking about the darks eyes and his eyes and a female of five i think about a inference, maybe Jonas and the female of five come from another community.

This first five chapters has been very exiting the ceremonie of twelve is coming in a short time and Jonas is very nervious about it. I thinks Jonas will receive a very especial assigment. When Jonas started to remember the stirrings and started to use the pills it make me made a prediction, i thinks Jonas will stop eating the pills to have stirrings because he seemed to like it.

Interwiew of The Giver

i think this book would be about that Jonas will tell all the giver memories to his community and he would have to escape and find a new place. also i think we could cause a rebellion in his community by telling the memories.i thinks Jonas would be the one who tryes tin change the rules of his community and make it different this book looks like a book of suspens and will have interesting parts and will tell us how we could change our future

i think that the quote "For all the children to whom we entrust the future." means that the future could change our life and also the entire world. also he means that children can change and make their own future. the children could also cause problem in our community in the future.
